Simultaneous & consecutive interpreting
Delivering meaning, structure and intent — never just words.
When it comes to international events, precision and clarity are non-negotiable. That’s where I come in, offering a wide array of interpreting (oral translation) modes tailored to your audience, format and topic.
We have been cooperating with Anna since 2018. She always impresses everyone involved with her work, as the bilingual participants find her interpreting in both directions to be not only extremely accurate, but also easy to understand and of a high standard.

Simultaneous interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting enables real-time multilingual communication with minimal time lag (décalage). It’s ideal for conferences, hybrid events, TV productions, scientific congresses, panel discussions and other high-profile formats.
Interpreters typically work from soundproof booths that comply with international standards for sound insulation, size and ventilation (e.g. DIN EN ISO 4043). Image and sound transmission, as well as conference technology, are regulated by additional ISO norms. I’ll be happy to connect you with one of my trusted technical partners.
For smaller formats, a tour guide system or whispered interpreting (chuchotage) may be the preferred solution. Simultaneous interpreting is also available for hybrid and fully remote formats from interpreting hubs and via RSI (remote simultaneous interpreting) platforms or video call platforms such as Zoom.
I’ll recommend the optimal set-up to ensure seamless delivery, consistent terminology, a polished register and genuine human impact.
Consecutive interpreting
Consecutive interpreting is the classical interpreting mode. I listen to the speaker in full, take structured notes using a specialised technique, and then render the message accurately and clearly in the target language. As consecutive interpreting takes place in segments, it requires more time — around 50% to 80% longer than simultaneous interpreting.
This method is particularly well-suited for political events, formal negotiations, audits, trainings, working lunches, literary readings and interviews.
Liaison interpreting, a specialised form of consecutive interpreting, is commonly used in highly sensitive business or diplomatic settings and may require sworn interpreters.
Ms Władyka-Leittretter worked for us as a consecutive interpreter during a European partner meeting of the Interreg Europe project OptiTrans. She performed her task with utmost professionalism. I would recommend her at any time and would use her services again.
Dr. Klaus Bongartz,
Advisor at the Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture
Dear Ms Władyka-Leittretter,
Thank you very much once again for the excellent interpreting during our webinar today. We are very satisfied!

Human interpreting vs. AI
While AI-based Automatic Speech Translation can support informal, low-stakes communication, it cannot interpret meaning, intent, nuance or cultural references in real time. For professional conferences where accuracy, confidentiality and credibility matter, human interpreting remains indispensable.
