As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve taken a moment to look back – not to evaluate, but to say THANK YOU.
This year, my work as a conference interpreter took me across the west and east of Germany and beyond, to many charming cities. It led me into booths with colleagues I truly enjoyed working with, and into spaces where language quietly but decisively mattered: ceremonies, celebrations and international conferences.
Many of these projects allowed me to witness touching and difficult moments, learn new things (also about me!), and do what I really believe in—making real communication possible.
Alongside my interpreting work, I’m grateful that 2025 also gave me the opportunity to give back: contributing as a volunteer to the Verband der Konferenzdolmetscher (VKD) and AIIC, and to continue learning through CPD.
I’m thankful for each and every assignment, conversation, collaboration and lesson this year has brought.
